The Collections of the National Museum of The Bahamas includes all objects and artifacts which are of historic, cultural, scientific, anthropological, aesthetic, artistically or otherwise deemed to be of importance or to become significant to what is Bahamian Heritage. The collections are national and are therefore representative of the entire Commonwealth of The Bahamas, vested in the National Museum under the terms of the antiquities Monuments and Museum Act (1998), which establishes the National Museum as the chief heritage institution of the nation.
